The information that I put in the previous is most of what I know about these oils. What I know about them, I read in magazines that are supported with advertising dollars of the companies who make the supplements. However, there are scientific studies that confirm the nutritional and anti-PMS value of the oils. The best way to get them is by eating "fatty" fish like salmon, albacore tuna, sardines, and others. I'm not sure about the possible toxicity of flax and borage oil, but I know that eating fish is fine. You just have to eat it regularly to get enough of the omega oils. As far as weight goes, these oils should not make you gain weight as long as you are not overdoing them and are eating a healthy diet overall. It's much, much better to cut out the fat from things like french fries than to cut out good fats like the omegas. I would recommend doing a search on a site like webmd.com or medscape.com to get more info.
