Re: for OCD/dysthimia, is PAxil or CLomipramine better

In reply to for OCD/dysthimia, is PAxil or CLomipramine better, posted by Dubya on February 25, 2001, at 1:57:23

Both are equally as effective in depression and OCD. And one will work for some people, the other will work for other people. But Clomipramine has more of a chance of causing sedation, anticholinergic effects, and sexual dysfunction. Also, Paxil is a lot safer in overdose.

Most of the bad effects of Paxil and Clomipramine can be remedied by Urecholine and Methylphenidate (rx only).
