Therapeutic Window For Remeron??

I am wondering if Remeron has a therapeutic window or if it has a dose-related response (i.e. when dose increases, so does efficacy). I know that the sedation (and weight gain?) is lowered with increasing dose. I am on 45 mg qHS but I have heard of people taking 60 mg or more. What is the practical dose maximum?
