Good days and bad days

I work different shifts, some nights and some days. I take my effexor at different times on these shifts. It seems that I have some good days and some really bad days from doing this. Should I have a set time for taking this or maybe I need to up my dosage???? Help! So far this has helped me with my depression but I'd like it to be consistent daily.
