Just typed my reply and promptly lost it!! Maybe its time to go to bed. Oh well, try again.
I haven't tried Effexor XR. Tried Effexor but ran into the same problems as the other SSRI's; aggression being a big one. I will still do some reading on the XR. Who knows until you try. I don't feel optimistic about it but I'll, at least, do some reading on it.
You would figure that by now, I have been hit across the head with a 2X4 plenty of times and would realize that this lovely disease is not going away (I've given it plenty of tries!!). But if you don't try, how will you know? It may work. But thanks for the replies. It helps knowing there are others out there that have info.
> Bee - I don't see Effexor XR in your list. At higher doses it has both SRI and NRI properties, making it like a TCA (like Elavil) without the big time sedation and decreased risk of cardiac problems, but I can't guarantee it will help your sex life. Do give the Effexor XR a proper trial of 8 weeks. The dose should be raised relatively slowly to about 225mg or 300mg per day to get both of the above mentioned effects. Ask your doc about this.

> Sounds like you would probably be a good candidate for reboxetine, but we don't have that in Canada, either (sigh). I guess we have to let the Europeans and Yanks be our guinea pigs before they allow these new drugs into Canada ;^)It seems anything new that comes along and sounds promising for me, is not here yet and does not look like it is on the horizon in Canada. Maybe it's time to visit the family in England (ha ha).
