I had the same problem with desipramine. It was to the extent that I stopped taking it; and refuse to take it anymore. It helped what it was supposed to; but the side effects were equally as depressing for me. I tapered off it very slowly and didn't notice much of any withdrawal. I was taking only desipramine. I took effexor xr before and stopped it cause I didn't think that I needed it anymore. I don't recall having as much trouble with it regarding sexual dysfunction.
