I find that PB and what it provides varies. When I've posted and gotten responses from others who have shared my experiences, it means a lot to me. That is something I don't have in my everyday life.
Sometimes I need information and gain information from the more technical posts about meds and other issues. In fact, I've made some notes about a topic or two from here that I will talk with my pdoc about on my next visit.
And, I respond to others as I can. Doing that, I feel more like I'm giving something back, and maybe even helping. I'd like to be helpful if possible, and want to encourage people who feel low, and it is a connection with others that helps me also.
I don't have a lot of intimate relationships right now. Never have had a lot, a few is about all I can manage. And, those aren't really with people that understand the nature of depression very well. If someone does, it's a joy forever.
I think the board is probably many things to many people and, what it is probably varies from time to time for most people.
I'm glad it's here!
