I take Wellbutrin, Zoloft, and Buspar for dysthymia & occasional more severe depression. For me, Buspar was an excellent booster for the Zoloft when its effects began to fade, but the down side was that the combo was only effective temporarily. After maxing out on both Buspar and Zoloft, Wellbutrin was added (& some adjustments to the other meds). The Wellbutrin improved my mood greatly but gradually, without the ups & downs, and seems to be holding up.

This is only my experience, and of course your diagnosis is different from mine, but I do find that the Zoloft-Wellbutrin-Buspar combo works for me and helps with anxiety as well as depression.
