One symptom of Cushings in horses is depression

I realize that you don't want the vet's side, but at least it is related. Cushings is elevated cortisol from a pituitary tumor, which does improve some physical symptoms, like arthritis, but leads to major depression in many horses.

Just for what it's worth.
