i had a disk of some poetry i wrote recently and i misplaced the disk...i am so depressed about this, among other cr*p...i had one of those weird days where i felt like writing poetry and it just flowed and was unlike anything i had ever written before...the best i ever wrote...i don't know what mindset i was in..but will i ever write like that again??? i am so sad about this, i finally decided to post my sorrow publicly:) could someone please empathize??:):)
(btw, i'd be too fearful of plaigerism to post poetry on this site..)

yep. been there. done that. still learning about backing up important info in more ways than one.
very sorry your words are gone. perhaps you won't write with that kind of flow or mindset again but you're a creature in development. you'll always be different each time you sit to write. who knows what will spill forth from you next?! =)

__zhp.s. over the years have you met anyone you trust who has a stable website with available storage space? not publicly viewable but just an additional place for the data besides the disk. something to think about.

I guess if you show other people your ideas then there is always the possibility they will attempt to pass them off as their own.
I like to think... That the only person they are cheating is themselves. I mean... There will be more where those came from... Whereas in the other persons case... Well... I feel a little sorry for people who do that...

I lost my poetry (and all creative thinking) when I went on anti-depressants...

thanks y'all *so much* for your empathy and your helpful comments. you guys are really wonderful:) i see i'm not alone here in having something like this happen...ugh..it just makes me never want to write again you know :( but thanks you guys!! i do feel a bit better..i always enjoy hearing from you and hope i can return the favor.:)

oh btw, i don't think i know anyone w/ web site w/extra space....but that's a great idea. i feel so stupid for not backing my disk up...what was i thinking, ya know lol
