Sunlight fading represents the emotions I feel
Twilight's shadows painting a scene so surreal
Children's laughter is carried upon the evening breeze
And adventure beckons from across the Seven Seas
Shimmering stars bear witness to all life's glory
The Great Pyramid of Giza tells a prophetic story
A feather falls on the river to follow its course
While raindrops spell the Meaning of Life in Morse
Mother Nature whispers of the power of Love
That by loving all life you are joined with the One above
And so as the seagulls circle lazily over my head
I sit and honestly look at the life I have just led
Starting off so full of hatred for self and the world
A vortex of insanity created by mental chaos unfurled
One day I broke something I loved more than life with my rage
Yet with forgiveness I was able to turn the page
