Talk

Oh brother i can't i can't get through
I've been trying hard to reach you cause i don't Know what to do
Oh brother i can't believe it's true
I'm so scared about the future and i want to Talk to you
Oh i want to talk to you

You can take a picture of something you see
In the future where would i be
You could climb a ladder up to the sun
Or write a song nobody had sung
Or do something that's never been done

Are you lost or incomplete
Do you feel like a puzzle you can't find your Missing piece
Tell me how you feel
Well i feel like they're talking in a language i don't speak
And they're talking it to me

So you take a picture of something you see
In the future where would i be
You could climb a ladder up to the sun
Or write a song nobody had sung
Or do something that's never been done
Do something that's never been done

So you don't know where you're going but you Want to talk
And you feel like you're going where you've been Before
You'll tell anyone who'll listen that you feel Ignored
Nothing's really making any sense and oh let's Talk
Let's talk
Let's talk
Let's talk

I sense you’re having a Coldplay sort of day.

I haven’t listened to them… there are big gaps in my musical knowledge (until I was a teenager I never heard anything written later than 1850).

But I like the lyrics you posted.

Thanks Tamar, i'm glad you liked them too.

I only wish I could somehow post the music to go along with the lyrics...really would make all the difference lol

Kind regards

Nick, may bog forgive me but talk is cheap.I'm being cynical because right now I've no other place to be. Cockeyed.

I agree totally.

Words.

Just words. Sometimes they mean a lot, and sometimes they don't mean sh*t.

Actions speak louder than words.

But the kicker is.............
there is no action.

No performance to show feelings.

People oftentimes don't know how to act.
They can say all the pretty words they want to, or all the mean, spiteful, hurtful words for that matter.

But they aren't backing any of it up or trying to correct the damage they have done by their words.

I hate the world right now. And all of its useless words and talk.

Silence is golden.

But, holding back 'talk' within your emotions can be an expensive pitful.

Coldplay is by no means cheap through their sales of lyric's either, sorry you didn't appreicate them, its hard because you can't actually listen to the expression of the lyrics, or the music..

"UK band Coldplay have gone straight to the top of the US Billboard 200 chart with third album X&Y, having already entered at number one in the UK.
The last time a British artist had a simultaneous US and UK number one was in November 2000 with 1, a compilation of hits by The Beatles."

Thats where these songs/lyrics are tken from, the X&Y album, I find it therapeutic to listen to, although some songs can sound alittle on the depressing side.

Kind regards

Nick

I cannot speak for cockeyed, for I am not him.
I am not sure if you were responding to me or him, but I feel the need for clarity.

I did not post to offend, only to offer my condolences and support to cockeyed for his response to you. Maybe I should have just shut up.

In other words.........
I can't relate to the song, I haven't heard it, I can only relate to the idea of "talking to bare the soul", in which I feel there are so many things said and not done. So many feelings revealed but not shown. In other words, I agree with cockeyed, for me "talk is cheap" So often, people (in my experiences) talk a good game, but don't show it. I have been told how beautiful and meaningful and special I am to someone, yet he didn't mean it because he didn't stick around. I have had beautiful poetry written for me by someone who on most other occassions has cussed me out, called me names and seriously hurt my pride and self esteem. So for me, talking is what I yearn to receive or engage in, yet, not what seems to matter in the end when the actions are so profoundly the opposite.

Just me rambling.

Sorry I got in the middle of this.

Thanks for posting that Ada...

I agree talk can be cheap and actions do speak louder than words.

Because the name of the song is 'talk' also, I was slightly confused by cockeyed's comments, maybe I confused myself also.

I just posted the lyric's of these songs because I've been listening alot to them lately and find them therapeutic, I'd like to post something of my own original writings - but as of yet my thoughts are pretty empty, so the closest thing seems to be the these songs that have been going around alot in my head lately, so to speak.

Sorry for any confusion upon my part and thanks once again for your post.

Warm regards

Nick

I haven't really listened to Coldplay.
At the moment I've updated my ipod off someone elses itunes and I'm having trouble with the program that is supposed to upload it all to my itunes library.
It is full of stuff and I'm enjoying some of it which I don't seem to be able to get onto my library...

But I have X&Y on my itunes library just waiting for me to update my ipod from my library.

Sorry if thats confusing... Point is that I'm looking foward to listening to it properly. A lot of people seem to quite like them :-)

One thing I like about them is, is that they came from humble beginnings ~ I heard they were cleaners in London before they made it big with music, quite a turn around :-) (not like the manufactured commerical stuff you know?)

I love their music, I hope you like X&Y, if you do, you might want to try

A Rush of Blood to the Head

I baught it the otherday, its great :-)

Kind regards

Nick
