To him. I don't know...

For a gaze, a world;
for a smile, a paradise;
for a kiss...I don't know
what I could give you for a kiss!

Well, it's nice to see that your pain over your lost relationship hasn't snuffed out the romantic that clearly lurks within, still. It's not hard to see why your heart was broken so badly. This poem really made me smile and kind of sigh; it brought back what it has felt like when I'm first starting to fall in love with someone. Atticus, wearing his heart on his sleeve, as usual

Hi Atticus:

I do experience pain and pleasure when I think about that relationship. There's clearly more pain but I'm happy I made you smile and sigh. It's been a long time since I've felt the carefree lightheartedness you speak of when you first fall in love with someone (the best "drug" out there, but oh so rare) ;-) Malthus-the insomniac wearing her heart on her pajama sleeve

Lovely poem, light and lyrical. Does have the fairy dust of love hanging about..
