Procrastination biting my bottom again

Posted by Racer on March 31, 2006, at 17:14:22

Sure, I've had stuff going on -- outpatient surgery yesterday, which worried me and took a lot of energy, plus two therapy sessions and marriage counseling and pre-operative appointment and so on. And this was Spring Break week, so no class to spur me on with deadlines... But I have done NOTHING for math, with a midterm on the 11th of April, and only continued reading stuff I really already know for my psych project, and done NONE of the reading for that class. Grrr...

So, today, I'm trying again. I've put some time in reading stuff for my psych project, and I've finally come up with a format. And now for my next trick: I'm going to set a timer and spend 30 minutes on Psych reading, and then 30 minutes on math homework. And then I'll set it for a 30 minute break, and then start all over again.

WIth, of course, some outlining going on in there for the psych project...

What about everyone else? What are you doing, how are you planning to proceed?

Well... I'm amazing at procrastinating... But then I get paniced a few days before the deadline and I get on it. The idea of 30 minutes on each subject is a good one. I'm horrible for staying on task. I get distracted by anything so easily, but other times I can't study without somekind of distraction. It's weird. I hope your studying went well for you!
