Hi! I'm working on my B.S. in Health Psychology at Bastyr University. I haven't made up my mind on graduate school yet. I definitely plan on get my Master's, I just haven't decided on the program yet.
What are the rest of you studying?

I did 1 and a half years of psychology, but I hated it!
They (the psych students and lectures) didn't shut up about how bad benzos were and how good CBT was....! As you can tell, I am more pro-psychopharmacology than them!
Oh, yeah, how did you put up with cognitive processes units- how boring!
But it's good to see you doing something you enjoy.
All the best with your studies, and sorry I could barely say a good word about psych!
Ace.

I'm currently taking a year out of my medical course to do a BSc in psychology in a year (that's quite common in the UK). Here we do the medical degree as an under-grad, and its pretty dauning thinking that I could be a qualified doctor in 2 years (when I'm 23), this gives me a little breathing space!

hey
i am a psych major planning to go into clinical research. i just got a research position i am very excited about. i will be working with preschoolers studying theory of mind with a developmental psychologist at my school. i also wanted to study perfectionism next year, but the prof i was going to do the research with is swamped, so he told me maybe the year after next i could work with him. i hope to go to University of Cincinnati for grad school. Does anybody go there?
i was going to go into neuroscience for a while, but i found it too dry a subject for my tastes.

I majored in Philosophy and almost completed a major in psych (just left out some stats and culture papers). I think I would like to do more coursework in psychology. Especially cognitive psychology and neuroscience, but I have to admit that when it comes down to it neuroscience can be incredibly boring.
I'd rather read theories than run experiments.
I'd rather try to come up with a theory that handles the data and comes up with a novel prediction. Let the scientists fetch the data and play with their stats - what does it all mean??? - that is the domain of the philosophers.
This is the end of the thread.
