I feel very, very cranky.
That's my excuse.

Sometimes being cranky is a civilized, humane response.

Cranky from taking it?
Did your feet ever swell up from it?
You were taking a fair bit at one point, IIRC.
I took 900mg on the flight back and my feel swelled up, but maybe that was the flight?

IIRC?
Cranky from not taking it. Masks anxiety for me.
All sorts of sides from a so called benign med.

I think I started for sleep and for pain. I had so much edema, but I didn't realize how much until the neurologist pointed it out. Then when I discontinued, I could experience the change. It crept up on me. Seems the sides they list for this med hit me hard. Thanks Phillipa.

IIRC means if I recall correctly.
Your body may be in withdrawal.

There seem to be 2 opinions on gabapentin I picked up from the archives. The first is that it is benign, but there are people who do not share that view at all. There are some quite strong opinions expressed, including about the addictive potential of it. If you were taking a dose close to the maximum it would have to be (IMO). I have never taken that much except on long distance flights to keep me calm and still.

hated the stuff. Made me feel slightly paranoid, which I had to counter with Klonopin. Terrible combination, btw.

I took that for a short while, many moons ago
I don't remember much about it, except that the doses are kinda high on it.

Everything considered in that gleam of retrospect, my kidneys are not super strong according to my TCM practioners (or are very sensitive) and gabapentin is processed by the kidneys. That is precisely why docs seem to love it--most patients are on multiple drugs that are processed by the liver.
Idk. This might be why I had a more severe time of it than someone else. Right now I tolerate two medications fairly well; one is a transdermal, another a sublingual. Then there is the go with everything standard benzo.
I dug out my Chinese formulas today....

I am having some success with mine. Beefed up with 10mg temazepam I can sleep in until 6.30am......quite an achievement.

I think 6:30 is a decent time to wake up. Sounds good.
This is the end of the thread.
