I have a shrink appointment this AM, and I was just realizing: I've made a lot of progress. I'm not trying to rub this in anybody's face--I know a lot of you here on PB are still struggling, and I still struggle sometimes, too--but for the first time in...years, maybe (ever?), I can say I feel kind of...normal. Minimal hallucinations. Minimal agitation, anxiety, mood swings. I can comprehend and act on social cues. I have initiative and a bit of ambition to do something more than lie about in bed all day.
Who knew that such a boring drug combo (abilify+celexa) would bring me this far?
Just goes to show...with the right meds, the right therapist, and enough luck, even someone labeled as: schizophrenia, narcissistic, bipolar, low-IQ, and (to top it off) accused of malingering can make considerable progress.

That is excellent. I am glad you've pushed through it, and found some solutions, however long it took.
All the best to you :-)

(Since I'm older and tend greatly toward pessimism, I will gently whisper "moderation in all things. please. don't tinker too much with meds.)
Now....
Yahoo! Congratulations! Yay!
Good news is always welcome, yes!
