Woodburning. No, I haven't. But my graphic or even doodling skills are nil. Saw some folks use the tool thing to etch, or I guess, more accurately, burn into gourds.

Have you worked with gourds. One time I did. Mine was dreadful. (Really.) But other folks had some amazing results. Lovely little bird houses to hide in the garden or trees.

What are you going to do?

My loom is a very simple Japanese loom. Scarves, so far. The last one was very enjoyable to make, but awful on the eyes when it came off the loom. My friend suggested we repurpose it, so we cut it into table linen mat things. It was so satisfying to cut cloth I had woven, that I now have a warp ready to weave actual yardage to make a garment. But haven't got the stamina mentally or physically for that, so it's back shelf for now.

So today, I know I'll make it to my loom and continue on with a scarf.

Yeah, yeah that's it.
I'm going to try a very bold and simple symbol- something southwestern. I just want to get the feel of it.
No gourds for me... I'm already out of mine, don't want to have to deal with another.
Nice use of fabric.

You've gone and blown my cover...I wanted to change my name, but not disappear as "sid" to everyone. I wanted just a little extra anonymity, likely unnecessary anyway. I might change my name to James bond- tell no one.

I am always blowing secrets--but you told me in a thread! Oh. Sorry.

Remember duran-duran?

"The name's Blonde. Dyed Blonde.

James Blonde

JanesBlonde?

Shaken not stirred.

Ian Fleming wrote Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Terri Gross of NPR's fresh air said it makes sense if you remember it's all about the car.

So you have done gourds?

So what will you work on? Boxes? Flat pieces. I don't know much about it.

Lips are sealed. Fairydust.

Phillipa, we had an unexpected visitor who we were glad to see. Made me get up and so did work at loom a little.

Did you keep warm? Any bike riding? You are so good to exercise. Funny, my DO told me not to ride bike. Why? Just walk he told me. ????

sid, I imagine you are very sensitive. I've liked you from day one, and nothing you have written has deterred me :D

I kinda' favor sid as a name myself.

And here I was going to change my name to chittybangbang....

I like floatingbridge more than the chittychitty thing.
I am terribly sensitive, and often not in good ways.
You are very kind, and timely too because i am feeling so much self contempt. I think there is some pms thrown in too.
My nerves are a bit raw.
Take care :-)
