I'm thinking of quiting my job as supervisor and going back to my old job.
I have days where I get stressed out and want to go home sick.
I almost never used to get this way at my old job.
I'm not meant to be a supervisor. I'm not good around people.
I hate this. What should I do?
I'm certain they'll let me go back to my old job. I am very good at it.
I just want to disappear.

Good to see you on here. I am so sorry you are going through such a hard time with work and all.
Is there any way you could discuss this with whomever is above you to voice your concerns, or is it such that you cannot? I understand where that might be a bit of a sticky situation. In the end Deneb, if where you are is getting harder and harder for you and if you can find another job that is less stressful and more healthy for you then you have to do what is best for you. No one but you knows this best of all and since I do not know exactly the crux of all this, I can only hope you can get through all this.

Deneb what is it you don't like about supervisor? I myself never liked the responsibility of being in charge of others since I only really knew what I did. Can you see what the others do? Could you go back to being what you did before. Give it a lot of thought. Good luck. Phillipa

Deneb, do the best thing for YOU.....If you believe that you will be happier at your old job, do it! The world is stressful enough without our jobs making us more "nuts".....

I feel kind of sad and disappointed in myself, but I quit my job and I'm going back to my old one.
Pdoc also bumped Risperdal back up, so not decreasing for now.

Deneb, please don't feel too disappointed. There are all sorts of different ways to succeed. Managing is a specific skill set. If you don't feel comfortable with it at this time, that doesn't mean there aren't other routes to a successful career.
You are good at what you do. Not everyone can say that. That is something to be proud of.
