So, I'm eating my dinner of choice, which tonight happens to be a box of biscotti and a glass of (RED) zinfandel. Hmmm, I think to myself, after cookie #3- that one looked a little cobwebby. oh well. yum crunch... cookie #8 was quite cobwebby. Then Oh No, I saw it. A buggy. crawling on my LAST biscotti. I HAD EATEN the whole damn beetle-laden box. I may never eat again.

Yuck!!!!!
Did I mention the time I ate a piece of candy and noticed there was a hole in the bag --and then noticed a gazillion bugs crawling around the shelf near where the bag was? , and a few on the inside of the bag???
Yeah. It's kind of creepy, but I did survive. I promise.

Llurpse.......I was dating this really elegant man who is truly a gourmand.....He was fixing breakfast and I saw bugs in the bag of walnut/cranberry bread. I didn't know what to do..so do I tell him or just not eat the bread?
I finally decided to tell him and he was so upset that I almost decided that I should have just let him eat the bugs and skip the distress.
p.s. I wasn't going to eat that bread!
p.p.s.I miss that cooking!

I agree, protein is good
there's a movie... "Empire of the Sun"
and the kid in the movie survives in a prisoner of war camp by eating the bugs that happen to end up in his food. It's protein you see. You'll be better for it in the end.

we got frikken indian mealmoths.
i was eating raw maybe it was muffin mix, and it tasted good and then I saw caterpillars in it, and I figgered thats what made it taste good! I picked up a caterpillar by itself and tasted it, it was sweet cuz it had been eating the sweet muffin mix!
One time eating berries while driving I 'crunched' something, and it were kinda spicy??? LOL, it was a stinkbug methinks(I HAD to swallow as I was in a crucial driving situation), and the 'spicy' was the stuff they spray out their butt to repel predators!! LOL! Didn't really taste too bad, but too much BUG, all crunchy and stuff , hard to swallow, cuz they pretty big.
I swallowed an earthworm on a dare but felt bad for the worm! So then I'd just put them in mouth on a dare, but then put them back in the earth.
I love bugs!
Free protein shouldn't be underrated ROFL!!!
Bettern POO!
(Just had to bring bowel movement into it cuz I KNOW how LL love to talk bowel movements!!! :-o ;-)
HA!

OHH NO...
I do not like bugs. OHHH, I would feel the same way....I probably would be afraid at the very least to eat biscotti, or would be inspecting every single one and package too....

that I still have 2 more boxes of the offending biscotti. Do I have the guts [literally] to eat them?
would dipping them in coffee destroy the beetles?

Just cause one had cobwebs doesn't mean the others do.
Plus: where'd you get them? could you go back and exchange them for fresh ones? if they exist?

> -Ll******jeez i dunno. While camping, hubby opened a box of rice pasta Kraft dinner-type stuff. As he poured the pasta into a large pot of water, some small worm-type things floated to the top. We decided to skim them off & kept stirring it to make them float to the top. We decided to do that, trust they'd all floated to the top & make it & eat it anyway. AND we're vegetarians - so the THOUGHT of possibly eating worms (even small ones) was REALLY creepy. While we were eating it I MADE myself NOT THINK ABOUT IT!!!
LOL
