Ethel was a bit of a demon in her wheelchair, and
loved to charge around the nursing home, taking
corners on one wheel and getting up to maximum speed
on the long corridors.Because the poor woman was one sandwich short of a
picnic the other residents tolerated her and some of
them actually joined in.One day Ethel was speeding up one corridor when a door
opened and Kooky Clarence stepped out with his arm outstretched. "STOP!," he
shouted
in a firm voice. "Have you got a license for that
thing?" Ethel fished around in her handbag and pulled
out a Kit Kat wrapper and held it up to him.
"OK" he said, and away Ethel sped down the hall.As she took the corner near the TV lounge on one
wheel, weird Harold popped out in front of her and
shouted "STOP! Have you got proof of insurance?"Ethel dug into her handbag, pulled out a drink coaster
and held it
up to him.
Harold nodded and said "On your way, Ma'am." As Ethel
neared the
final corridor, Crazy Craig stepped out in front of
her, Butt- Naked, and holding his "You-Know- What" in
his hand."Oh, good grief," yelled Ethel, "Not that Damn
Breathalyzer Test again.!!!>HAHAHAHA

Dave, you just used up your "get out of jail free" card, for that post. The only thing that kept it from being completely irredeemable is that I'm so glad to see your name on the board.
I have no words of wisdom to help those dark nights (years?) of the soul. All I can say is strength isn't always a stiff upper lip and an ability to carry on as "normal" it's sometimes a belly crawl across the floor till you get to the other side. Don't forget that.As for letting society down?
Come on now Dave.. really, you're a smart guy.
Let's leave that to the politicians, the KKK, and Celine Dion.(Yeah, I know, I just have this thing about Celine Dion)

Thank you Fayeroe, I really needed that little boost today. I would say "you have no idea how much" but, I think, unfortunately you probably do.

yes, she does, and yours will, sometimes you have to let other people hope for you.
I've been there more times than I care to think about, sometimes things can make me feel better,
other times well, as I told a friend of mine who can relate, other times it's best to be alone because its like you're on fire and someone is saying
"have you tried deep breathing I hear it's relaxing"Now truthfully, I was accusing Celine Dione of letting society down (well, you know tongue in cheek) but I do like that line.

1. It's all in your head/imagination.
2. Try thinking of something else.
3. You'll be fine tomorrow. Nothing a good night's sleep can't take care of.
4. You will just be OKAY!
5. Is it your period? (Not you Dave..:-)
6. God never gives you anything you can't handle.(well, I wish he didn't hold me in such high esteem)
7. Go to the ER.
8. Did you take your Prozac today?
9. Why don't you go to the mall?
10. Would it help if you cut the grass?
xoxoxo Pat
