Hi everone, as you know I`m new here.
I have this problem, Since Slinky`s death, some weird things have started happening to my body.
I know when I get stressed I loose weight,I`ve lost 16lbs in the last 6 weeks, but what worries me more is,in the last week of Slinky`s life she told me of these like eletric shooting pains in her head,she said it was due to the change in her meds,now I`m getting these pains.
She told me of how she was getting shakes in her body,now I`m getting shakes.
She had this sicky feeling in her stomach,I`m getting this to.
But,what worries me most is I keep getting this terrible feeling that I`ve got a noose around my neck, but the reel scary bit is that I can feel it tightening.
My councillor tells me this could be the shock coming out, but I feel like some of Slinky`s ailments have been passed on to me.
This is really worrying me.Has anyone ever experianced anything like this.Dave.[Trying to carry on where Slinky left of]

Hi Dave,
It sounds like you are experiencing a reaction to the trauma of losing slinky. Believe it or not, all of your complaints can be caused and exacerbated by stress. You've got lots of stress right now. I'm glad you've got support though, and I think you're doing all the right things. Exploring these things with your counselor will help you get some relief, although it takes time for this relief to unfold.can you manage to do something nice for yourself every day, even if it's just a little something? Maybe pick up a pint of ice cream and indulge? There's a lot to be said for self-soothing activities in times of extreme stress.

Hi Dave
I hope your neck remains safe.
No one (well, hardly anyone) deserves a noose around theirs.
There are all these cultural associations that (I guess) make it a choice for some people....you know, the being 'hung by the neck until you are dead' thing.
No one deserves it really.
