Help Raise Awareness of Borderline Personality Disorder!A Congressional Briefing on Borderline Personality Disorder is scheduled for Tuesday May 8. Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a devastating psychiatric disorder that results in the inability to manage emotions effectively. Because of this, it is a leading cause of suicide. BPD is at least two decades behind in research, treatment options and family education compared to other major psychiatric disorders. This event will inform members of Congress about this crisis, is a key step toward building awareness of borderline personality disorder at the federal level.
Please contact your members of Congress, and ask them to attend this briefing. Your voice can make difference: members of Congress and their staffs consistently say that they attend events like this when requested by their constituents. Make your voice heard!
