I've known it was coming for months. Have I done any packing? Don't make me laugh. Of course I work best under pressure but.... the movers are coming Monday evening. Can it be done? We'll see. I'll just be happy when its all over and I can relax. At least I'll finally get rid of the clutter!
Although I'm pretty stressed I'm also excited! I'll have a fireplace and cable for the first time in my life, not to mention a garden tub! Oh and vaulted ceilings! Its on the 3rd floor and so pretty. I searched and searched to get the best deal and I think I did pretty good. But its still a good $200-250 a month more in rent. That's pretty scary to me. But I won't have to commute an hour to work and an hour back everyday (its about 5 minutes from work), so that will save money on gas. Not to mention my energy.
I've just never lived anywhere really nice, and here I am moving to Superficial City. Me and my friends used to make jokes about the people who live where I'm moving! This is where the rich folks live! Its just weird on so many levels.
My furniture is going to look so ghetto.

Hey, right on TC! A garden tub. Is that like a hot tub, or something like that? Or am I just getting too imaginative? lol. Sounds really nice. You've been working hard and deserve it. Hey, will you babysit me and take me out to the movies if I come to visit? :)

A garden tub is just a big oval tub. Its bigger than a regular tub.
Come on down! I'll take you to see the latest kiddie flick.

Do you mean like tub as in bathtub? I thought you meant you have a large flower growing pot thing when you said 'garden tub'!! But then, my excuse is that I'm not American!!
But anyway, that sounds really nice!! I'm really happy for you! I think you can get everything packed. Its my theory that, when packing, you need to do it the day before - otherwise you spend way more time on it that you strictly need to.
Kind regards
Meri

Good Luck! Your new places sound very nice. I think the new drive to work will make up for the added rent in no time. Besides the gas money, think of the mental energy you are saving! You'll have more time to enjoy your new "Superficial friends".
I hear your pain regarding packing - it has to be one of the worse things to do, second only to unpacking!

Your place sounds fabulous, and very convenient. Time is our most precious resource, so if you look at it that way, it's a very wise investment.
In my old age, I'm longing for a condo. And one in walking distance of the necessities. I just need one that takes three or four dogs. :)) Oh, and has completely soundproof walls.

Good luck with the move, and the movers, TC.
I really was Hoover the Mover, for twelve years. I used to pack, too. But I'm retired, now.

I'm so sore! I still have a few things left at the old place and I have to clean it. I wish I didn't have to go back!!!
The new place is great! It seems humongous! It doesn't seem like its mine yet though.
My cat hid under the couch the whole first day. Then last night I guess he decided everything was okay, he kept me up all night zooming back and forth from one end of the apt to the other. I guess he thinks its big too! When I left this morning he was all sprawled out like he owned the place.
I don't have the internet up at home yet, so I might not be here for a little while. I just had time to write this during a break at work. Talk to yall later!
