{sigh} OK, car feature comparison sites?

Posted by Racer on September 8, 2006, at 1:23:20

I don't want to talk about it. It's a very, very triggering subject for me, and it was the content of a very, very upsetting marriage counseling session last night.

If I want to look up which cars have certain features -- heated seats, for instance, or manual transmissions -- especially if it can be restricted by price range, can anyone tell me where I might go online? Someplace where I can plug in my options: "Heated seats, air conditioning, manual transmission (maybe), air bags, at least 30mpg, hot dog steamer, etc" and get a list back of which cars might satisfy my needs/wants.

My car and I are very close. I see no reason to replace her. I don't want to replace her. Hell, I would just as soon have my old car back -- my 1982 Tercel, lovely car, loved that darling little machine. And I feel kinda rejected every time my husband says he doesn't trust my car, or that I really need another one. Especially bad since there's no money for a new car for me. I don't think I can replace my car for what I'd have to spend on something else. May as well keep this one, which runs reliably, until I can't keep her running anymore.

Although, I would like improved A/C, and heated seats, but not nearly as much as I'd like a new clutch and a new stereo in this one...

You might want to try Edmunds.com I've been looking for cars myself and found this site to be helpful. KBB.com also has a comparison feature that might work for you.
