More to the point, does anyone have any insider knowledge when the Intel processers will be replacing the Apple ibook G4's?...and roughly how much they will cost??
I want an apple, I want an ibook G4. But in afew months they will have the Intel processers, and I think I want one of those more! Just don't like waiting LOL
I sound like a spoilt kid demanding his new toy now!
And I hear the new ones will not be 12inches, but 13inches, perfect!

I don't know about Intel processers or anything, I'm not much in the tech department, but a G4 ibook kicks so much *ss! I have a G4 eMac, OS 10 myself.
Most (not all) graphic artists prefer using a Mac. I learned on a Mac so PC's are annoying to me. Its like trying to find a book in a library where every 5th book is out of place.

In reply to Mac's rule, PC's drool! ;-), posted by TexasChic on April 25, 2006, at 19:23:14
Although I live in the UK and here mac usage is about 0.00000001% of the population or so it seems. Alot of UK websites don't like Safari AND they keep putting up documents to download in .doc format, which I can't read, because I don't have MS word. :o(
And everyone asks me if I can use MSN messager. Nooooo........
Yeah, and when you use windows it just seems clucky and difficult to use and illogical.
Plus there are alot of design faults in non-mac laptops. Like my boyfriends PC laptop the fans are really loud and annoying when watching a DVD. And the keys are really stiff and... I could go on and on!
I'm using a PowerBook G4. Its great!!!!!! And silver too.

Oh I forgot to mention one extremely good point, relating to the thread below about computer sercurity --
There are very very few viruses (and things like that) written for macs. I think there are one or two, but (I think) if you download the security updates from apple.com periodically (your computer checks for them automatically or you can easily check yourself using a couple of clicks) it should take care of them i believe. They also have a bunch of software updates too. Its very good.
Plus they look really good.
