why is everything i do there to prove there is no

Posted by iforgotmypassword on November 21, 2005, at 22:21:13

point?

went out tonight, first time in god knows how long. can't talk to people, just saying things in humilating and humiliating ways. mind just goes blank blank... i go off on automatic but realized i hit the social self destruct button instead.

really i said stupid, humiliating things, and didn't stop. i didn't just think that was how it happened, it was. it was terrible. like as if it's okay, i'm old i don't recognize the world anymore, so yeah if i don't like this place, i should just get up and say i want out. like everyone is graced with that option, so use it. why isn't as simple as making that statement and position? i very very very tired.

Hey IFMP, there's a saying 'The way out is via the door, why is it that noone will use this method?'

Humiliation, I suppose it's always been around, but these days we have festivals of shame and humiliation (reality TV), it's in the air we breathe.

I would be looking for relationships where humiliation is either inconceivable or compulsory, but maybe I'm perverse.

Actually that reminds me, some graffiti painted up on a building which read 'Embrace the abject'. I was impressed.

Like Alexandra said, I think we are our own worst enemies sometimes. Thinking over and over again that one humiliated oneself doesn't do us any good. Everyone humiliates themselves once in a while. We start thinking that other people really notice how we act, but in reality people have really short memories about these things. Even if they remember it, it is OK. We don't need to torture ourselves over it. Don't be so hard on yourself. I hope you feel less tired.

Hi, Declan: I am pretty new here. I liked what you said. How about this quote: "Obey gravity." Pretty silly, eh? 'ice to "meet" you here.

Here's a few of them:

1. Be ashamed to die until you have done something for humanity.

2. I am more impressed by what someone has overcome, than by what they have accomplished.

and my favorite, which I haven't really used much (LOL): Do you fall in love at first sight, or do I have to walk past you again?!

Smiles n grins, Ally
