I think there will always be people you feel more comfortable with than others. Not because of anything more than stage of life, or shared experiences, or common backgrounds or values.
I dated one guy from high school on, and married him. So relationships are something I just don't get. I tend not to respond to those posts, and don't get to know the posters as well as people who post about hating their jobs, for example.
But that doesn't mean that it's a clique situation exactly. Since I'm equally likely to respond to similar posts no matter who makes them. And equally unlikely to respond to similar posts no matter who makes them.
I'll admit that if someone has consistently gone out of their way to be supportive to me in the past, I'll be more likely to post a response to them even if I'm feeling crummy at the moment and not responding much. That only seems fair and polite.

no, No....
This just felt similar to a dispute i had with Maxime a long time ago.
My mind makes assumptions in a billionth of a second, that is a fact.
Sometimes ill automatically think of a phrase as cold. Not saying yours was, sorry.

I like you, Matt, and we've only *talked* a very, very few times.
But I always read your posts and worry about the stuff you go through.
Being a mom of a now-grown-up child, I have a sort of soft spot for people around your age, struggling with not only tricky illnesses, but sometimes not-very-okay parents :-(....and just trying to figure out how to be a grown up.
It's hard as he*l, all of it.
And, with what you have to deal with, I think you're fighting a good fight.
Maybe we'll talk more in the future ;-)

Well, that's what my therapist always says. :D
I don't think that's a particularly unusual attitude for a Babbler tho.
No one's accused me of being a starry eyed optimist lately.
