Part of me is positive that my current trouble in concentration and motivation is related to the fact that I'm burned out. And I think that if I take a class or two at the local university, my brain will get sharper like it used to be, and I'll be able to work better, not worse. My husband thinks I'm right in this and is supportive. (He knew me as a brilliant young student and super- employee.)
The rest of me thinks I'm nuts. That I'm already overwhelmed by my obligations and one more will hardly allow me to get more hours in at work. That my being overwhelmed will not be improved by being intellectually challenged, or even by doing something I enjoy.
My therapist is neutral.
My current plan is to get a second undergraduate degree in psychology, and then go on to get a Masters degree in Religious Studies (world religions). So I figure I ought to find out what undergraduate courses the religious studies program finds important and make sure I get those.
It's so weird. I careen between being energized and excited and crying.
Has anyone done this? What was the result? Am I nuts?

Sorry to interrupt, but I'd like to redirect this thread to Psycho-Babble Students. Here's a link:

I guess it's been moved to Students. Maybe we could start a separate thread there.

Even though the restrictions have been lifted, I thought the posters were still supposed to be the same.

Posters at Students don't necessarily need to be students anymore, sorry if that hasn't been clear...
