> Show of hands here... how many have to deal with spouses, boyfriends, girlfriends, family members who are dealing with the knowledge that you are depressed or as bad as it sounds, you have a mental illness?

Asking what's wrong when I'm crying or scared with an anxiety attack is never going to get the kinds of answers from us that our partners need. Mine can't understand why I just can't control it... logic and all that jazz.

My husband is very supportive, I suppose. He treats me like a ticking time bomb. Or maybe very fragile china being juggled by a clown. Things have gone wrong all over the place the last couple of days, and he's been offering to stay home from work, or come home at lunch and help patch me together. He's absolutely astonished that I handled things as well as I have, haven't self injured or fallen apart (more than I did).

I guess he's got reason to treat me that way. And I do appreciate it's done from concern. But I feel like a royal incompetent. The king of messed up nut cases. Maybe he's right.

Sigh.
