I am the god of hellfire... and I bring you...

FIRE.

FIRE ONE. aimlessly drifting, time drifting, something dark out there, nameless, i can see it out past the ships radar, off the chart, but still, i can feel it, something sinister, insidious, hungry, the rest, asleep in the pods, they'll never know, i can sense it coming, like the smell of rain before the storm, the electricity in the air, the dead giving up the ghost that rises before you like smoke from a fire, hellfire, and they will never know it hit them.

FIRE TWO. that i had seen the most beauteous thing, that i had been there, that i had been there before, that sense of de ja vu, of knowing, those before me, all gone now, just bones, mostly, mostly in the dark, further back and darker, past the vast recesses of the mind, somewhere unknown, unnameable, infinite.

FIRE THREE. blessed be the rocks for their ignorance is bliss, blessed be the meek, for they shall inherit a dust ball, blessed be the flower for it is shaped as a labia, blessed be the sun, for it makes flowers bloom, blessed be the mountains so that man may know how small he is, blessed be the blasphemers so they too shall be saved, blessed be the whores, for Jesus too gave his love to them, blessed be the lost so they may find their way to a land of chocolate eggs and rice pudding, blessed be the aimless so they may be true, blessed be these words, for they fraught with riddles and contradiction.

Just an FYI,

But.. Now we are approaching Tornado season.
For some reason that makes me think of some Southern novels.

"World Enough and Time" Robert Penn Warren

He did a short story that triggered the thought..
"When the Sky is Green" or something like that. Big-ass Hailstorms in the midwest always start with a green sky with that peculiar smell of negative ions from lightning breezing right out at ya.
