I worked for a start up company in the
Bay area for a while not too long ago.
Frankly I was miserable. Too much
congestion. I think Austin blows the
area away.But there certainly was more culture.
I guess the main problem is, a lot of
people move there in the tech world
and can't afford housing and
work 80 hrs a week in congestion and never
really find the time to enjoy the amenities!
Paid 2k a month for a 450 sq ft apartment!How long have you been there?

I grew up in Sunnyvale and GILROY - the "Garlic Capital of the World". Lived in San Jose and then San Francisco for a while. Now I'm in LA, and I miss No. Cal!!!!!!
