I posted something a week or two ago about having a possible diagnoses.
At the treatment center I'm currently at, they said that I had characteristics of borderline personality disorder without being full spectrum.
Today I had my first appointment with a PNP. After talking for awhile she said I could possibly have bipolar II (Obviously no formal diagnoses on first visit)
BUT she did suggest I give mood stabilizers a try. She also suggested I go home and read into them myself. I was totally shocked, I've never had a doctor tell me it's okay to have an opinion on meds. I usually have to butt heads with them over what I'm comfortable/not comfortable taking.
So all in all, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed about this other possible diagnoses, but pleased I found a prescriber I can work with.

Hi Manduh,
So glad for you that you found her to be respectful of your opinion, it's important to have a say in what you're comfortable taking. I don't know much about meds and diagnoses stuff, but hope people are helpful to you and everything goes well for you!
This is the end of the thread.
