if you have healed after having dealt with a trauma? How would you know if therapy has done its job? Does it becomes less emotional to talk about? If its still hard to talk about and causing anxiety does that mean I need to do more work?

Something's still unresolved, I would think. In my experience, it was more than just the trauma, too. Like peeling back an onion.

One measure might be whether or not the anxiety and distress was causing any difficulty in your life? Does it keep you from living your life as you'd like?
