Thanks, Muffled. I miss you, too.

I've been in and out as well. My surgery was a little over 3 weeks ago. It went very well, but I'm still very tired and it's taking me much longer to do my everyday stuff. So I end up not having much time to post.

And my T has given me her retirement date. I'm devastated. Not that I didn't know it was coming, but an actual date just makes it a little too real for me right now. We are going to try to work hard on that for the next 3 sessions before I go back to work full-time. She thinks somehow my stress level being down now will make it easier to deal with that. I don't know. I spend most of my time trying not to think about it.

I know you're still struggling with your T. I think maybe a closing session would be a good idea. I think about you a lot, even when I'm not posting, and hope you're okay.

((((Therapygirl))))))))

I don't know what kind of surgury you had, but I know it almost any kind can take a while to recover from. It wipes the heck out of a person.

I would be freaking out if my T gave me a retirement date, and he is way past retirement, so it is possible. Even if you knew about it, it doesn't make it any easier I believe. Will she let you keep any kind of contact?

Thanks, HF. I had a hysterectomy, but it really did go very well. I do think you're right about surgery wiping a person out. I'm sleeping a lot and have to rest even when I don't sleep in the afternoons.

I will be able to stay in contact with my T. She's been great about that. It just won't be the same, you know?

Well glad surgery went well.
Sorry to hear about your T.
Are you going to transition to another one?
I am glad you can still be in contact with her.
But ya, its not the same.
I struggling with that myself.
Oh well, guess its the way life is.
I just gonna keep going and try not to damage myself!
Maybe my new T will be great.
Whatever.
Sure sucks though eh.
I am glad you are having a rest. I have a relation that had abdominal surgury, and it takes awhile to bounce back.
Take good care,
M

I am glad she is allowing you to keep in touch. Have you started looking for another one yet?

Take care of yourself, surgury is tough on the body, even being put under does it.

I am sorry you had to have surgery but glad it went well. I want to sleep all the time and I haven't had any surgery. So in that I can relate. I think my hormones are out of whack though. I made an appt. but it is two months out.

Anyway, I am so sorry for your t terminating. That is tough as I know you had a great relationship, at least I think I remembered it as such. And here I am thinking of terminating mine since we dont. Life sure has a weird way of working sometimes. You want to keep yours and she is retiring, mine is past retirement age and probably needs to unless just I am the boring one, and he isn't. Go figure.

Thanks, Muffly. I'm sorry you're having a time with your T, too.

I'm not going to transition to another T. This T works because of the connection I have with her and I think it's just too d*mn hard to develop that kind of connection with someone else. So I'm going to try to tough it out. I think it will be fine except when the depression comes. Then I have no idea what I will do.

I think you're brave for continuing to go. Please let me know how the new T is.

Thanks, HF. No new T for me. It's just too hard to develop the connection I need for it to work. At least that's what I'm saying right now. I may change my mind, but I doubt it.

Thanks, RSK. I'm sorry you're in a bad spot with your T. I have a while before mine goes, but it's still tearing me up.

I hope you get some answers after waiting two months for an appt. I have struggled for the last 4 years with various back/hip/menstrual issues. I kept saying that all of it had to be connected -- it was in the same foot of my body. My T was the only one who agreed. All the others acted like I was crazy (not my new surgeon, but the docs I had the past 4 years). It turns out one of my fibroids was entwined with my pelvic ligaments, so guess what? ALL of it was related. Sometimes I really dislike doctors.

Yeah, I know. Right now my boobs feel pregnant. They really hurt and I know this is a indication that hormones can be out of balanced. This is why I made an appointment with a integrated health provider versus regular doc. My chiropractor that has already gone through menopause sailed through it with this organization because they use different tests to assess hormonal levels and use holistics therapies to help adjust hormonal levels so that you can sail through menopause and not have those ghastly side effects. Last several times I had blood work to measure my hormones even with issues like breast tenderness the bloodwork came back as my hormones were fine yet a simple progestrone cream helped. So I know those blood tests can and are not always right. Heck my own mother had two blood tests telling her she wasn't pregnant with my second sister. So go figure.

I am with you on doctors, but I guess sometimes they are only going by what they have.

Thanks for the support too. I hope you feel better soon.
