Hi from Brussels, Belgium. Since August 2001 I am in a deep deep depression going through pathological grief after the loss of my Mama whom I loved more than anything in this world. I am only 41 years old. Since then I have been on an antidepressant called DOGMATIL and SOLIAN, as EFEXOR and ANAFRANIL and CYPRAMIL I just can not handle. I put on 30 pounds in 17 monhts, of course I was not doing any exercising. Now I started dieting and exercising and the weight is slowly coming off. But in general, here is my question. When you take an anti-depressant and you diet (1000 cal a day) and exercise at the same time, will you still gain weight????? I am really curious about this.
Thanks for answering me whenever you find some time.
Regards from today unusually 'sunny' Brussels,
Iris

Hi Iris. Welcome to Babble. I like your posting name. :)
I think you probably want the medication board on this site, Psycho-Babble (rather than Psychological Babble, the therapy board). I redirected your post over there and you can locate it at

You can also follow the links at the top of the page and see what other boards Babble has to offer.
