Hi, My Mom just passed away and a friend gave me a book called "Embraced by the light" by Betty Eadie. I hear this book has been around for awhile. I would like to get your opinion on the book.

what did _you_ think about the book?
i read this book about 5 years ago. i believe that edie really believes that she had an NDE, and i think that the world she describes is believable and consistent.
i found the story of the drunk who came to Earth to teach his friend interesting, as well as the story of the baby who would come to Earth and die.
i find the whole story to be an interesting merging of Christian belief and non-Western beliefs. Maybe everyone really does have a small piece of the puzzle?
i'm sorry that you're dealing with the pain of your mother's death. hopefully the book can help you a bit

I just went to the link you provided. It sounds quite interesting as does bookgurl's comments. I think I will add it to my book list.
Have you started reading it yet? If so, do you have any comments about it?
