I know this doesn't make much sense to much of anyone, but it felt frickin awesome! Yup, two octaves about the staff~! Too high, I almost blacked out, had to sit down! lol Man, can I blow hard! You reallyl have to be able to relax your body to do it while blowing massive amounts of fast air into a tube! Try it once, it makes ya dizzy!
So now I have to go play soft and pretty for the orchestra tonight, too bad it wasn't for jazz band night! Yeah! Baby! tooty tooty

Trumpet player here as well. My range stinks, but I'm a most fabulous third. I'm one of those "pretty players".

Another awesome women trumpet player! We have to unite, we are such a small group! Hey in jazz band I play 3rd and I like it, NO SOLOS! lol
But I love the philharmonic the best, even though there is no need for high G's. Do you study privately? I have been studing for about 2 years, after a 15 year non playing, babymaking homemaker life. I love I am playing again, but I am having trouble with a new stage fright I have to overcome. It was so nice to "meet" you and really nice to meet someone who knew what the heck I was talking about! lol
