We all are Unique
With all a different voice
We all have something to say
And whatever it is, whatever we're feeling, it is uniquely us, me, you, him her

Sometimes I have to listen really hard to hear my own voice, even in the silence. Which is a shame. But I'm working on it.

You might have seen those stickers, which say
'Be yourself. There's no one better qualified.'
I should like them more than I do, perhaps.
But I like Iago's
'I am not who I am'.
But no one else (what do you mean? No one at all will) is going to step up to be me so I can be them, and I am almost reconciled to that.

That's what writers do.
I heard one today, called Robert Dessaix, and after remarked 'That was a religious experience'.
Which it was.

That must have made some sense?
Sometimes I might agree to be me?
And in return for what?
(What do I get out of it?)
This is the end of the thread.
