More as I get older.I used to feel a sort of absence of qualities was my defining characteristic, and I don't feel that at all any more. (So there's hope for us all?)

I have no self at the moment. It's been replaced with an automaton. Must remember to wash and clothe the thing in case the doorbell rings. Water it. It doesn't care if it gets fed or not. And it's not interested in input. Just sits and stares, or lays down and closes its eyes.Nobody home.
