T said I'm resilient.

I have to believe her? 'cause I pay her or something.

Well. I guess.

If kk's got tens, I've got a one-tenth going on here

you certainly are dear.

look at everything you've accomplished darling.

2. you're wickedly funny

3. so extremely intelligent

4. gorgeous!!!!!!

5. caring, supportive, wonderful, perfection (second only to me of course, but i am a narcisist!).

6. witty.

7. clever

8. well spoken, those typing skills, determined, fun, did i mention gorgeous?

9. self-protective (wowsa, wish i took as good of care of myself as you go yourself!)

10. a very impotant part of babbleworld. a wonderful friend, wife, asset to this world, community.

noodle, i could go on forever. you're so strong (smelling that is. lay off the perfume and take a shower, would you?). your personality is something else (in a good way. please forgive my absence of better adjectives, but this blasted topamax and the fact that i'm around kids all day limits my vocab).

darling, i adore you. i hope you adore yourself half as much as i adore you. even a quarter that.

take care of yourself. and remember, today is friday and EVERYONE is workign for the weekend!

(shrug) scared sh*tless of my diss defense or perhaps that's just regular old AD constipation.

> 2. you're wickedly funny

I only try to amuse myself. If I can make depressed Llurpsie laugh that's good enough for me.

This has been said before. but I don't believe that what I have is that special. I just focus on different things with my intelligence than other people do.

> 4. gorgeous!!!!!!

(um. you didn't see me today! I went to pdoc's wearing a t shirt that I slept in the past 2 nights. (((((comfy)))) )

narcissist don't recognize themselves as such. they just feel that they need more recognition from other people. That's the difference between you and narcissus. If I'm caring and supportive to people it's nice to know. like a little hug for me. thank you for telling me that.

i have a little place of skin that is unblemished now for several months. I feel some pride in that.

> 9. self-protective (wowsa, wish i took as good of care of myself as you go yourself!)

you take better care I bet. You don't let your husband live halfway across the country, for example...

> 10. a very impotant part of babbleworld. a wonderful friend, wife, asset to this world, community.

thank you (sincerity trigger)

> noodle, i could go on forever. you're so strong (smelling that is. lay off the perfume and take a shower, would you?).

hey! I took a shower last night AND a bath before bedtime. you must be smelling my tshirt. that's not ME!

>your personality is something else (in a good way. please forgive my absence of better adjectives, but this blasted topamax and the fact that i'm around kids all day limits my vocab).

my pdoc called it Dope-a-max. but you'll get used to the drug and feel clever again. promise.

> darling, i adore you. i hope you adore yourself half as much as i adore you. even a quarter that.

so do people who love me. they all say what a great life I have... hard though, sometimes to have a great life and have people tell you nice things and yet have all these bad thoughts. like a little world-war-I style trench warfare going on. Everyonce in a while one of the compliment-bombs makes it's way over to the "low self-esteem" trench and saturates it with a feeling of empowerment, self-efficacy, and maybe touch of happy?

> take care of yourself. and remember, today is friday and EVERYONE is workign for the weekend!

I will do 2 more hours of solid work today and then call it a weekend. What will I do with my weekend? I think some (non-impulsive) shopping is in order. and a trip to the campus library where I can take some fantastic pictures of lake michigan

my cat likes me. wishes I would pet him ALL the time. He seems to not mind that I'm PSYCHO.

You can have all sorts of wonderful qualities, but you still might not have lots of resilience. You think?

You don't feel particularly resilient, Lurps?

What is resilience, anyway?

Is it basic strength and ability to bounce back?

Does it have anything to do with will?

You certainly lose resilience (of the physical sort) as you grow older, but you might acquire mental or spiritual resilience too.

hmm.

I guess I was talking about the kind of resilience that happens when somebody kicks you face down in a pile of manure and then walks on you. sure, you can get up. SllUUUUUrrrrrrrppp! but you still have sh*t all over your face.

I guess I could always use the cattle trough to clean myself off.

Forgive me. I'm wearing cowboy boots.
