Okay, I think it's time for a little positive self-talk around here. Tell me what you're proud of yourself for either now or recently.
With everything going on, its odd to say that I've actually been proud of myself a lot lately. Here are mine:
- For taking myself to the ER and making it through the psych hosptialization last week. I was alone the entire time in the ER and it was a very very scary experience, but I made it.
- For opening up to my ballet teacher. She found out I was in the hospital and we've been emailing back and forth. I've told her almost everything thats going on with me now. It turns out shes experienced some similar things. Seeing her since has been uncomfortable, but even if she doesnt turn out to be a great friend, reaching out like that was a big step for me.
- Last night someone from the day program called me. I didnt answer the phone, but I called her back later in the evening. Calling people, especially people I dont know very well, is incredibly hard for me and I usually make excuses and dont do it. But I called her, and it was okay. I'm proud of myself for that.
Now its your turn.. lets hear them!

Sure doesn't sound like much here goes
Had my mammogram this week that had been biopsied last year it was okay but scarey
Went to the endocrinologist as my thyroid is now hyper corisol tests and pituitary tests done it.
Rode my bike in the cold for 7.5miles again.
Trying to get the courage up to take money out of saving to pay for all the doctors now that is scarey as where will I ever get more as I'm on Disability. and don't work.
I was afraid to make a hair appointment need to work on that and getting out by myself. Love Phillipa there's a lot of work I need to do I see that now. But I did two major hurdles. So I'm proud of them.

I'm proud of meeting two impossible deadlines, and of managing to put in over a hundred hours in two weeks. It may not sound like that huge a deal, but for me it's immense.

Wow phillipa, you said it sure doesnt sound like much, but it certainly does to me! That's a lot of very stressful, draining things all at once. I know what you mean about doctors bills making you want to pull your hair out. But dont beat up on yourself for not having done the other things yet.. we cant do it ALL at once. It sounds to me like you did a lot. :)

Wow.. like i just wrote to phillipa, that sounds like a big deal to me. It's interesting how hard we can be on ourselves (..but it wasnt really a big deal) when really, it's a big accomplishment. Congrats. :)

I'm proud of myself for...
sticking with yoga practice, past my "runaway" period where I fear that I'll never be able to improve, and on to where I am now; experiencing the peace of meditation, and greater stamina and muscle strength, all of which are helping me redefine my self esteem.CS

I am proud that I made myself move. And that I reached out to a friend, and we both realized that we're having a hard time with no friends.
You guys have all done great this week!!!!

I'm proud of myself for...
-The progress I see in myself since I first arrived here 3 years ago...
-I arrived here intending to bounce my ideas off y'alls, then to synthesize and integrate your responses...
-Along the way, I've discovered so much than I expected...
-My conversations with "the-guy-in-the-mirror" mean so much more today than they seemed to before I ventured here...Rod
