'I have a very low opinion of myself and I don't deserve it.' (W.S.Gilbert)
This had me in stitches.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

Hey Poet
I thought of you on the drive. Hello.

Hi Declan,
is it springtime yet?A low opinion of oneself is unfair to one's peers.
But I value humility over arrogance.

Hi Declan,
Really? Horrible negative things? Oops, sorry, that's what I think about myself. I am as my T says, projecting. So why did you think about me?

I know so little about you. I heard that you were more talkative than expected at Toronto. (Not worried yet?) Other than that I know (as Sgt Schultz used to say) nothing.
Naturally (own projection started) I imagine you to be part of some ingroup (somewhere) from which I am excluded.
On the subject of projection Alex put up a really good link about projective identification (to which I suspect I am prone, if only because it sounds incomprehensible and classy), which said that the end result of it is the tendancy to merge, which is definately me.
No, what I had thought about on the drive was that you had been kind enough to say hello, and so I went to an internet cafe to reply.

Hi Declan,
I have always appreciated the philosophy of Sgt. Schultz. I'm not worried, yet.
