When you leave the house dressed kinda sloppy, and you don't give a crap if people notice?
I usually wear some minimal makeup, but today is laundry day, and I am not wearing very nice clothes. So, what's the point of make-up?
Is it self-esteem when you don't care if people look at you and think that you look sloppy?
I mean, my hair is washed, my clothes are clean, but we're talking t-shirt, tennis shoes, and jeans. Certainly nothing special for going to a movie-dinner date.
It might not be good for my husband's self-esteem though. I better go change my t-shirt at least. It is a tacky tourist t-shirt.
hugs and xocolatlkisses
later, dudes-

yeah...I think so
one doesn't want to spend needless energy preoccupied with such things right?
and aren't you just fine regardless?
you probably even look pretty darn good!
but you don't necessarily have to care what people think....everyone probably is all worried about what they themselves look like anyway
the world's gone crazy...dress comfortably :-)

Grigory Perelman solved the Poincare Conjecture, and declined the Fields Medal, the Nobel of mathematics.
When apprached by the press he said 'I know that self promotion happens a lot and if people want to do that good luck to them, but I do not regard it as a positive thing. I realised this a long time ago, and noone is going to change my mind. Newspapers should be more discerning about who they write about. They should have more taste. As far as I'm concerned, I can't offer anything for you readers.'
I was impressed.

I was married to a car dealer and the people with the most money wore torn jeans and t-shirts. There was no need to impress anyone. It was inside them. They knew who they were. Love Phillipa ps yes been married more than once.

Well, if that damages his self-esteem, then he needs to take you on a vacation where the t-shirts for tourists aren't so tacky.

We are in the midst of some serious winter vacation planning. We actually flipped a coin because we couldn't decide between Spain/Portugal/Morocco and Brazil/Argentina.
Regardless of where we go, bon dia or buenos dias or whatever. I don't speak more than 30 words of Spanish. I never buy tourist T-shirts unless I'm running out of laundry on a trip.

The funny thing is that after I changed to a pink shirt with sparkles on it, husband said I looked so nice, and that HE felt like such a slob! haha. I told him that he looked cute and we went on our way.
I had some steak with blue cheese crumbles on it. medium rare, a thick 1.5 inch (6cm) sirloin. DELICIOUS!
We saw World Trade Center. I'm going to write about it on Social Board.

who is glad that she put on a pink shirt, but EXTRA glad that she brought a hoodie, because movie theaters are freezing in the summer!
This is the end of the thread.
