I wrote a letter to the editor, which they published. Right next to my letter, which was only about a paragraph, the editor wrote this big commentary, expanding upon what I'd said, quoting me 3 times.
It feels really good to be validated!

That's an accomplishment. Having the editor write a column on what you said imust be extremely unusual.
Sounds like you made an real impression on him with what you said.
