Hey, does anyone know if there exists a gluten intolerance test (besides an elimination diet)?

I've read that this is the most reliable one:

Hi Hugh, that's what I thought. I'll take this up with my physician. From what I've read so far, (which is a small amount), the approach to gluten intolerance seems a bit overwhelming. Thanks for your response.
What do you know about lipid replacement therapy? My psychiatrist of all people brought this up. I'd be interested in your opinion or thoughts if you have any.

I'd never heard of it until you mentioned it. Sounds interesting. I could certainly use more energy, especially since I can't tolerate stimulants. Thanks.

I've been reading more about lipid replacement therapy, and it appears that the key ingredient is phosphoglycolipids, yet I've been unable to find any supplement that contains only phosphoglycolipids. The lipid replacement supplements I've read about contain tons of other ingredients, such as amino acids, B vitamins, probiotics and prebiotics. I wish I could find a product that contains only phosphoglycolipids, so that I could determine what effect it has on me.

Well, I see my physician Monday, and if the conversation goes that way, I'll ask him about it. Right now he's doing the standard tests for infectious agents, so that may take up all the bandwidth. Whatever I turn up, I'll let you know.

My doctor gave me a digestive panel that indicated the ability to digest gluten or not...a range on a scale. I turned up able to digest gluten fine but I still eliminated due to an autoimmune disorder. If you are still looking for information...
This is the end of the thread.
