I have been using pregnenolone for months now and have noticed that I have a better sense of well-being. Initially, I was using 50mg per day for energy. After 2-3 months, 50mg was just too much! Ray Sahelian says you should not take more than 5-10mg per day, so I have been using 10mg per day, and I feel a lot better. If you try it, start off with 10mg. It's a hormone, and like most hormones, you don't need high dosages for effect. In my opinion, it's a worthwhile supplement to use for brain function if taken in small dosages.

I have since discontinued pregnenolone from my vitamin regimen. I gave it a few months trial, and overall, my opinion is that it really didn't make much of an impact on my depression. Not saying it won't help some people. I just found I could get along well enough without it.
