Chromium and depression

Chromium can improve depression in some people, especially those who crave and consume lots of carbohydrates. Myself, I crave mostly proteins, so I guess chromium wouldn't do a lot for me.

I'm in the process of reading "Optimum Nutrition for the Mind". That and "The Healing Power of Minerals" has lead me to purchase a bottle of blackstrap molasses to use instead of/along side brown sugar as a sweetener in my oatmeal and tea. The say all the good stuff is stripped out of white sugar (like chromium), but molasses maintains it. Too bad there doesn't seem to be much information on the trace minerals.

I haven't found it to help cravings or hypoglycemia myself, but have read it's supposed to. Be sure to avoid picolinate (according to Larry Hoover).

I thought about using chromium, and I still might to control blood sugar, specifically high blood sugar. I've been using cinnamon bark extract to lower the high blood sugar. It's very good for that, supposedly.
