how do you know you can trust a supp. company?

**this is a mess but **PLEASE** try to read this**

if generic meds have problems with accurate levels of their relevant chemical(s)...

i have heard supplements have problems in terms of levels...

how do you know you can trust a supplement company?

i have brought this company up before, but otherwise i don't see them anywhere, and haven't heard of them otherwise beyond one specific product they sell...

http://www.water4.net/

the v-pure algae oil capsules apparently have 89mg EPA per 3 capsules. (and 270mg DHA)

i am making a plan to take supplements 4x a day. so i would take 3 caps 4x a day for supposedly slightly over 350mg EPA and 1.1g of DHA. i would then "megadose" with an eye dropper of flax oil, 6-7g 4x a day, taking it with my estrogen doses, assuming 5-10% conversion to EPA. 1/3 of a gram will already (HOPEFULLY) be assured with the V-PURE product, which will cost me over $60 each week (estimate).

uhh... i can't think as usual. take from this message as you can. main message/questions-that-i-am-asking: CAN I TRUST THIS COMPANY? HOW CAN I FIND OUT IF I CAN TRUST COMPANIES IN GENERAL.

(i will post more about my 4x a day regimen that i will hopefully put in place, it includes more supplements, and likely selegiline. i have been planning to post all week. having trouble posting/replying. had short boost restarting lamotrigine, which absolutely died. lorazepam is NOT holding me together so i can act. i am the usual mess of both akathisia and exhaustion with no mental capacity, no executive function. (philipa -- what i meant by being able to make no decisions, the mechanics of my mind are destroyed, no pushing forward of anything possible beyond blind impulsivity; the paradox of executive function, showing both no ability to intervene in ones behaviour to MOTIVATE or to INHIBIT, nor to concretely LIKE or to DISLIKE, i can run at the mouth, but nearly by the same mechanism i use to breathe; mindless)

I trust supp companies that I know have been around for years because I have purchased from them for a long time (not the ones who SAY thay have been around).

Major supplement companies are pretty much any of those sold through retailers or online retailers. The one you have mentioned is one I have never heard of, and I have been buying supplements for over 20 years.

You can get vegetarian DHA from an algae source through many other reputable companies (and probably at a better price too). I currently take an oil by Udo's Choice that contains DHA from algae. Spectrum Organics also produces one. Source Naturals may have one, as well as Barleans. Spectrum, Barleans and Udo's are all the most reputable in the supplement industry for production of essential fatty acid products.
