Tentative magnesium glycinate success story

Posted by Jamal Spelling on October 10, 2007, at 15:35:01

I finally got me some magnesium glycinate (amino acid chelate). I take 2052 mg daily and I'm on my 6th day. At the same time I have reduced my sugar and caffeine intake. Patrick Holford is right: sugar breeds sugar cravings! Now that I've more-or-less eliminated sugar from my diet, I have also lost my sweet tooth.

All I can say is WOW. My condition is substantially improved. I feel much calmer and in control of my emotions. I don't know whether it is the magnesium, sugar or caffeine. But this effect is comparable or greater to anything I ever experienced on any of the meds that I have taken over the years.

Drastically reducing or eliminating refined sugar from your diet will have a massive beneficial impact on your health. The cycle of high to low to high blood sugar and the stress it causes on the body won't be happening anymore. Low blood sugar is caused by the body over compensating for the high blood sugar levels and dropping it too low. Very low blood sugar will make almost anyone feel very ill. So naturally you crave sugar to get the blood sugar up again quickly so you feel ok again only for the body to over compensate to drop the overly high blood sugar level, break this cycle and you have taken a huge leap in improving your health.
